The Roach (1/2 deposit pre-order)

The roach is Discreet’s first foray into the gun making world. We wanted to change the perception of what small arms could be in terms of compactness, signature reduction, and lethality.
The roach is built on the Dark Mountain Arms (DMA) Stowaway bolt action pistol which from the factory comes with a 5.5″ 1:10 twist barrel as standard.
The roach upgrade is a propriatary air-gauged 1.78″ 1:7 twist 5R 416 Stainless 9mm Luger barrel and an upgraded shortened barrel lock. Swapping the barrel on the DMA Stowaway takes seconds. The roach barrel is threaded 1/2-28 to accomodate 9mm silencers.
The roach accomplishes the following:
1. Reduces the size of the already tiny DMA Stowaway by nearly four inches.
2. Reduces all off-the-shelf 9mm ammunition to subsonic muzzle velocity
3. Utilizes a faster than normal 1:7 twist to enhance the terminal ballistics effect of our 121gr Selous 9mm expanders, and other 9mm expanders.
The roach will be available as:
– A barrel & barrel lock kit for existing DMA Stowaway owners ($250 total)
– A stripped-down DMA Stowaway pistol with Roach barrel and barrel lock kit pre-installed ($700 total)
– A complete SBR (as seen in the pictures) with a zeroed orange Aimpoint H2, Custom CNC Welded DLC Coated titanium silencer, Samson SAS-K folding stock, and MDT Wood Grip. ($2500 total)
Dimensions of the complete SBR are as follows:
9.5″ long without silencer affixed and stock folded
14.5″ long with silencer affixed and stock folded
22″ long with silencer affixed and stock extended
For all three options, Discreet is requiring one half deposit with the remaining half due at shipping. Deposits are refundable. If all goes as planned we expect to get these out by the end of the year.
Roach-specific 9mm rounds utilizing our machined solid copper 121gr Selous expanders are available and in stock here. If you would like the the 9mm roach ammunition shipped now place a seperate order. Otherwise if the 9mm Selous is included with your roach order they will ship together with the roach option that is chosen.
